Budo Taijutsu:
Budo Taijutsu, the unarmed art of fighting, is a 900 year-old lineage originating from Japan. We study the concepts of the Kihon Happo. We also incorporate several types of weapons and weapon defenses into our training from the nine different schools, or rhuya. Some weapons include knife, hanbo, kusari-fundo, and shuriken throwing. Focusing on conflict resolution skills helps our students to become prepared for the real world. We believe it is very beneficial for students to learn how to handle threatening situations powerfully and effectively without resorting to violence. Youth classes are available for ages 8-15 and adult classes are available to ages 16 and older.
Little Dragons C.A.R.E. Program:
Our little Dragons program offers ways to be aware of dangers, attention retaining skills, focused awareness drills, a fun environment for learning enhancement, and cardio activities. We also incorporate parent involvement opportunities into our Little Dragons class. C.A.R.E. stands for “Children’s Awareness Response Education”. Our little Dragons Program is for children ages 5-7.
Advanced Dragons Program:
Our Advanced Dragons Program is designed to take the skills and confidence that your children learn in Little Dragons to the next level. Here they will work on following the directions given to them, as well as staying focused and paying attention in class. They will learn more techniques and develop higher-level skills to help them on their journey into the youth class.
Enlightened Fitness Program:
Our fitness program for both men and women is designed to enhance and improve your overall physical fitness and wellness. The class consists of a highly energized cardiovascular workout beginning with power yoga, progressing to a cardio-kickboxing segment, then a total toning/conditioning portion, and ending with a yoga cool down / relaxation. Training also includes target hitting skills to enhance coordination and balancing skills. Nutrition and wellness information is used throughout the hour workout.
Women’s Self-Protection Program:
Our women’s program is designed to develop awareness skills that will allow you fast results of self-protection skills in an instant. It will develop the necessary involvement of the mind to allow you the ability to conquer your fear in a high-stress situation. The combination of physical training and the mental skills will produce the results you need in any situation – physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. Womens’ seminars are offered every other month.
